Letter to The Times (not published) on religious bigotry

Sir,

If I were to set up a 'religion' which barred non-white people from becoming clergy, I would rightly be prosecuted. Lobbying by religious organisations must not be allowed to perpetuate the sloppy thinking that elavates race above gender or sexuality in our anti-dicrimination law. Discrimination is dicrimination. It must be opposed and legislated against without fear or favour.

Yours faithfully,

John Slinger
